First, the Hulu Plus application for the Kindle Fire works well for me and I find it very easy to use to browse and watch the content.
However, the reason for my 3 star rating is that it must include an opinion of the functionality of the service it supports.
The Hulu Plus content for devices such as the Kindle Fire could be a major issue, as other customers have already pointed out.
Hulu Plus has claims to providing expanded episodes, current episodes of TV shows and a subscription to the service is required in order to view the content on mobile or other devices.
But there could be one serious downside if you are looking for specific content: a large portion of their offering is still not yet licensed to view on any device, including the Kindle Fire, from the paid subscription service.
So, if you're considering a subscription to Hulu Plus service for use with the Kindle Fire, realize that the shows you seek may still be tagged by the service for access via PC/Web only.
I'd weigh the monthly cost of Hulu Plus service for access to their available mobile and device content which a customer may desire against the cost of simply purchasing it from Amazon (if it's available).
No doubt there are a number of popular shows available on Hulu Plus via devices like the Kindle Fire, but I'd suggest comparing your own personal expected use of the Hulu Plus service to the cost to purchase your desired content through Amazon digital services.
$96 a year could instead buy a lot of commercial free content directly from Amazon.
That's only because I am a dork.I think it's great. I watch HULU on my pc and love it. I didn't realize that HULU + was at a cost.
